Successful results stem from a close collaboration between customer and SEO agency. That's why good relationships are crucial and a key element in driving and creating results in the collaboration. If there isn't good chemistry and a good gut feeling in the initial negotiations, the relationship and collaboration will most likely fail.
One of the strengths of SEO and online marketing in general is that everything can be measured, documented, reported and evaluated. As a customer, you should demand regular documentation of the work and participate in regular evaluation meetings where you and the SEO agency evaluate the progress of the collaboration.
Some agencies can work with everything from SEO to web development, visual design, IT infrastructure, social media, email marketing, print advertising, public relations and much more. These can be great skills to bring into your business, but the more different services an agency offers, the less specialized the agency typically is in each service.
The benefits of working with SEO are increased if you are involved in the process as an active participant who can influence, develop and challenge the work processes. At the same time, there can be both financial and business benefits in gradually taking over some of the work from the SEO agency as you get to know the SEO processes.
Align expectations for the collaboration at all levels - both business expectations regarding budgets, deadlines and results and the more practical expectations regarding deliverables, working methods, dialog and contact. A good SEO contract has a binding period of 6 months and can be terminated with a month's notice thereafter. The 6-month commitment period is necessary because SEO is a long-term process that requires quite a long timeframe in terms of results. Payment should be made in arrears on a monthly basis and with a small up-front payment upon signing the contract.

1. SEO Business Case
Prior to the collaboration, we prepare an SEO Business Case. The Business Case provides you with a calculation of your financial growth potential and profitability through a targeted SEO strategy, a mapping of your market position on Google compared to your closest competitors and a review of the focus areas you should prioritize.
The business case provides answers to how profitable your current SEO efforts are and to what extent SEO is a profitable investment. It also provides a basis for setting clear and realistic goals for the work, so you can better align expectations for budget, metrics and results both online and with an SEO agency. 2. Kick-off meeting
The collaboration begins with a meeting where we jointly define a strategy, an action plan and concrete goals to guide our efforts. We make sure the goals are realistic and achievable, and we continuously evaluate the SEO process to ensure we maintain momentum and direction.
The kick-off meeting is based on the Business Case, any preliminary analysis and the formal framework of the collaboration and forms the basis for our further work. To ensure a constructive and fruitful collaboration and a good ongoing dialog, a steering committee is established with representatives from both parties.
3. Analyze
The prerequisite for successful SEO is that the work is based on solid knowledge about your target audience, website, competitors and market position. A good SEO strategy therefore includes a number of knowledge-building analyzes.

4. Quick wins
If, during the initial phase of the collaboration, we discover errors and inconsistencies on your website that can be easily remedied, we will immediately suggest concrete solutions. Quick-wins can include issues such as indexing, load time (loading speed), redirects and duplicate content.
Any quick wins do not change the fact that SEO is a long-term process and that it can take up to several months before you see the first results of the work - regardless of which SEO agency you work with. From experience, we know that the profitability of SEO is greatest if the collaboration takes place over a minimum period of 12 months.
5. Execution
We execute the strategy through a series of actions in the following four areas. We do not necessarily prioritize all areas equally, but make a concrete assessment of which weighting of the areas is most profitable for you.

The content of the reports may vary depending on the goals we have set. The reports are based on data from analytics tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush. In addition to the reports, weekly statistics on your positions on Google are sent.
8. Evaluation
We hold quarterly evaluation meetings where we together evaluate the progress and results of the collaboration. The evaluation meetings are based on the reports with documentation of our work and results that we have sent to you on an ongoing basis.
Based on the evaluation, we plan and adjust our future activities to ensure that we achieve the goals we have set together. We do not downgrade our efforts if we are close to reaching our goals or if we reach them ahead of schedule.
