Realizing great untapped potential

In 2018, Atea decided to make SEO a central part of its marketing efforts, but with a complex webshop with more than 250,000 product pages, it was no easy task. Atea therefore decided to find external help. Among several agencies, InboundCPH was chosen, and Allan Bo Christiansen, eCommerce Manager at Atea, explains why:

The collaboration began and after identifying the growth areas and setting the framework to create the best results, the efforts were executed in close collaboration between Atea and InboundCPH. The result is undeniable: 56.98 % more visitors from Google and a triple-digit million amount in additional revenue from Google after two years of collaboration.

Training and knowledge sharing across seven countries

The SEO collaboration between InboundCPH and Atea forms the basis for ongoing training of employees across seven countries, so the successful results originate from the Danish department of Atea.

Goal setting

The overall goal of the SEO collaboration was to increase brand awareness and generate more sales online. Atea did not have a concrete expectation for the outcome beforehand, but according to Allan Bo Christiansen, they knew that "there must be a potential here".

The process has included consulting and execution across multiple departments and countries. In addition to content optimization and link building, an important focus area has been on technical optimization in collaboration with Atea's Swedish development team.

Results

In addition to a large increase in revenue, the collaboration between InboundCPH and Atea has contributed to knowledge sharing across borders. Today, Atea's SEO initiatives are centralized in Denmark and the lessons learned are shared in six European countries.
